Having a subtle pattern with background color on a section

Hi,

I would like to have a colored background with a transparent pattern on top of it for a section.

As X knowledgbase suggested i have downloaded subtle patterns from here https://www.toptal.com/designers/subtlepatterns

and inserted an (supposedly transparent) background it is not. i dont see the color though.

Maybe i need to set a color background for the particular section via CSS?

your help is much appreciated.

Hi Jerry,

You can simply do this by using a transparent pattern as the background image of the section but before that, select a background color for that section as well.

Please make sure that you are using a transparent pattern like the following.

I have added a section on your page that has a transparent background with background color for reference.

Hope this helps.
