Handling 404 page not found

Hi:

I am a novice developer. I have tried to address 404 page not found, but I routinely get emails that say 404 page occurred,

My website is Cohegic.com.

Hi Ravi,

Thank you for writing in, please navigate to Settings > Permalinks and Save it without changing anything, see if that resolves the issue.

If the issue persists, please do the following since I am seeing Mixed Content issues on your site.

Install Better Search Replace plugin, please do that 2 steps below, but first, just to play safe keep a backup of your database first.

find http://cohegic.com/CWP and replace it with https://cohegic.com/CWP
find http:\/\/cohegic.com/CWP and replace it with https:\/\/cohegic.com/CWP

Thank you, Friech. In general settings, I changed http to https. Let’s hope this solves the problem. If I see another 404 error I will let you know.

Hi Ravi,

Would you mind also mentioning where are you getting the emails from? If you have added some custom codes in the site, kindly try removing them and see if the issue persists. Please also try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
