Hello. We are showing a mix of posts and media library images limited to a category for ‘featured’. Is there a way tp be able to specify the order they are displayed in. I have it set by date but that is not always the most important factor. They would like to enter a sort order. Is there a way to do that and I am just missing it? If not with this, will that work the essential grid.

To order the grid items in display, please check out Ordering option in your Source tab in the settings.

It did not. I want to display 4-6 posts and set the order they display in. I was hoping for an easy way to do it so the client can take it on such as a field that says “display post id 2, 5, 1, 4” . Essential grid says it will allow you to drag media items to the order you want so I tried that as well but it never kept to the order I placed them in - using just media library images and not post images. Is there any way to do this or do you know something that does allow for that? I have been hunting and not seeing anything, The other option I looked at is using your column setting but it just throws more of a work load on them. Open to suggestions. Thank you.

Hi,
As stated in the grid setting “Custom order will only work if you have media library as unique post type source.”
Otherwise, the only way to arrange it in custom order is to manipulate published date as you did.
