Grids and custom post types

I was just looking at a page that is in x but user wp bakery. The thing I noticed that I had not seen in x was a grid template. They designed a single grid item - and then used the grid build to say how many rows and items should show. They used a custom post type to pull the content from. Is there a way to do that in cornerstone that I have missed because I wasn’t looking for it? I want to use custom fields and grids to display a lot of content and it would be great to have it be more automated like this. I guess it is similar to The Grid or to the other plugin you use for grids but I find those to be a little dodgy at times I am not sure they work with custom post types. Do they? Or is there a best path that I am missing? Thank you.

Hi George,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully there isn’t a grid template or grid element at the moment that can do what WPBakery does. Luckily, in the next release version update, a new grid element and layout builder can be used to display items. It will be available in our next major update. Please watch out for it.

Meanwhile, both The Grid and Essential Grid plugin works with custom post types. Just make sure to include the custom post type in your Grid source.

Hope this helps.
