With the new Google Maps pricing will you be implementing an openstreetmap element as an alternative?

Failing that is there a recommended implementation method for openstreetmap with the current capabilities of X-theme/Pro/Cornerstone?

It’s a good input and of late there is a need to look for alternatives looking at the skyrocketing price of Google Maps services. I have recorded few screencasts that you can take a look to add Openstreetmaps. As an option you also can take a look at Bing maps.

You can still use Google maps via using the embed code as detailed in this post;

Thanks for chiming in, @Pixel8r. That is correct. Like other embed methods though, you need to manually create this on your own including the markers. Billing is also required for some features of Google Maps Embed API.

If you just need a simple map but want to style it, maybe taking a screenshot of the map in Google Maps and use an image editor like GIMP to place markers. This might not be best for your project but since you’re avoiding the pricing of Google Maps, you might want another alternative.

Yeah, the main thing I’m trying to avoid is having to make 75 different google accounts for each of our clients so each of our clients’ sites has access to the credit they provide.

Thanks for updating the project.

Actually the $200 in free usage is credited to the account. Unfortunately, in your case you will have to create different accounts for the customers and setup billing in the same.
