Google Maps Error Message v2

Hi,

I am very sorry, but my last topic was closed, because I haven’t been in my office the last days. So it was too late to answer.
My problem was the following: I wanted to use the Google Maps Element in Cornerstone, but when I drag and drop the element to the section on the page where I want to have it, I get following error message: “Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.”

You asked me to send you my login details so that you can have a look at it. I will do so in a separate private message.

For now I placed an image of a map onto the contact page so that visitors can the place in the meantime.
An I put the Maps Element below, so that you can have a look at it!

Thanks
Susen

Hi Susen

I Dragged and drop your google maps element without issues.

Have you generated the Google Maps API Key to add to your google maps element in CS ?

https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

If not, please do it and let us know if the issue persists after that.

Thank you

Hi Joao,

yes I generated the API Key and I already used the code for that element (I copied the code to the "Google API Key field).
Could you please have a look at it again how I setup the element?

Thanks, Susen

Hey @suetrue,

Your website shows following error in chrome console. “Google Maps API error: InvalidKeyMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#invalid-key-map-error

Looks like the API key is incorrect.

In further investigation I found that the API key you entered have something wrong, Please check secure note for more info. I have just corrected API key, now MAP is sowing on contact page

Regards

That’s perfect! Thank you very much Rahul!
Best, Susen

Hi @suetrue,

Happy to hear that it is working already.

Feel free to ask us again.

Thanks.

Hi there,

sorry to bother you again, but anyhow the google maps element shows the same error again today, although it worked perfectly yesterday and I didn’t touch or edit anything after you solved that problem.
What can I do?

Thanks, Susen

Hi there,

I don’t see any error and the map loads okay, it could be just your browser cache. Please clean your browser’s cache

Thanks!

Hi,
thanks that helped!
Looks fine now.
Best, Susen

Glad all is working now.

Cheers!
