Google Maps API key issue / Map not displaying

Hi there. I recently had a bunch of my clients sites maps fail. I do have all the api projects/ keys setup and billing enabled. I tried to create a new key and test that with no luck. When i look in the google developer console, i see it says i need to restrict the key. I also tried that with no luck. Any ideas?

Hey @eyedia,

In the console, the message is you didn’t enable billing.

You will need to contact Google Maps support for this as you said you enabled billing.

If you have other plugins with Google Maps integration, please also try deactivating them. If you’re unsure, deactivate all third-party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Thanks.

Very strange as i had it enabled. Thank you for finding the issue.

Just a side question, Have you ever seen anyone charged for maps when just adding them on a simple site for directions? I have all my clients under my account … bit of a hassle to ask them to take their own out as often they aren’t that comfortable.

Hi @eyedia,

Not in particular, maybe you exceeded the limit because you use one account to many sites.

Please contact the Google support for clarification on your issue.

Cheers!
