Google Maps API issue

Hi. My maps seam to load and then it shows an error.

You can see here: https://hybridpharm.com/contact/
Also here: https://hybridpharm.com/about/

Any ideas on what the issue is? I have the maps added as a classic element and they were working fine the other day.

Thank you

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! I have tested both of your pages but I could not see any errors. I have also checked the console log as well.

This could be a caching issue that you’re experiencing. Could you please try clearing your browser cache and re-test to see if that resolves your issue.

Thanks!

You can see in this video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Tjj7A_aC8v8EUxPuydH1JyQ6vdSW-BGY/view?usp=sharing

I have cleared my cache and set developer mode in cloudflare, also cleared the server cache (wp-engine)

Same issue and anyone i’ve had look also have the same issue

Hi There @reform

I have also asked one of our colleges to check your issue and your map loads fine without any errors (https://cl.ly/401w1E3l283F).

I would suggest you test this issue on a different browser on your local machine or use the private browsing or incognito mode.

Also in Firefox, right click on your page and go to “inspect element”. From there, click on the Network tab, check Disable cache option and reload the page to see if that resolves this caching issue.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

So I tried safari, firefox and chrome on desktop, safari and chrome on mobile (iphone)
Tried each with a private browsing window.
I also tried with inspect element and disabling cache with the same issue.
Everyone I have had try also have the same issue.

The strange part is that the map loads and then shows an error.

Could this be something local? When i try through a VPN, i do see it. strange.

Hello @reform,

Thanks for updating the thread.

On my end also maps are working fine. May be it’s has to do something your your localsetup. https://cl.ly/153j2a3Q2V1H

Thanks.

I’ll look into it. I’m in Ottawa Canada and my friend in Connecticut also doesn’t see the map. My friend in Vancouver Canada does see it. So not too sure now  I’ll look into it and let you know what I find. Thank you mucho

Hi @reform,

Looking fine also on my side. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Ok so the issue is that Google is changing some things. It’s now required to have your billing info entered to have the API key. So my previous one was then disabled (to some people I guess?). This takes effect June 11, so it must be starting to affect some people now.

See here: https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/pricing/

So I added my billing info, got a new key, and it’s working fine for me now.

Thanks @reform for sharing this information, I’m glad it’s working for you now.
