Google Map not working correctly

Hello,

I have two problems with a Google Map on this page:

  1. How can I change the height of the section with the map? (I found how to do it on another website developped with Theme X, but not on this one as there seems to be some changes)
  2. How can I get the API to work correctly? I added billing information but it doesn’t solve the problem…

Hey Antoine,

For #1, go to Map > Frame and change the Content Sizing to Fixed Height. You can then set the Content Height.

For #2, looks like your site is not allowed to use the the API key. Please check your restrictions. For more details, please see https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

Thank you. I managed to solve the height problem.
I can however not understand why my website would not be allowed to use the API key? What do you mean by “please check your restrictions”?

Hi Antonie,

Upon testing your site, I see the following error on the console log.
You have exceeded your request quota for this API.

You can see a similar incident from here (https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/you-have-exceeded-your-request-quota-for-this-api/).

Thank you for the information.

The API has just been created though and there is currently no traffic on this site. I can therefore not really understand how I can have exceeded the quota, especially because my account says I have a 1 year trial period. I really don’t understand how it is supposed to work…

EDIT: I managed to solve the problem in https://console.cloud.google.com
I must have been done something incorrectly before, but this is not so easy to understand how to make it work, Anyway, thanks for your great support, as always!
