Google Map Issues

Hi! I am having trouble with my map on the homepage of www.somersetsod.com. Is there someone who can look into this for me? I think it is a java script issue. I have read so many different threads and articles and still can’t seem to figure out how I can fix my issue. Thanks!

Hello Elizabeth,

Thanks for writing in! I have checked your page and this is the JS error that I am seeing in the console:

Google Maps JavaScript API error: RefererNotAllowedMapError
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#referer-not-allowed-map-error
Your site URL to be authorized: https://somersetsodfarms.com/

It means that the URL needs to be authorized first before you can use the Google maps API. Kindly check out this documentation instead:

Kindly let us know how it goes.

It is still not working. Any suggestions? It is now saying “This page can’t load Google Maps correctly.” Do you own this website?"

Hi Elizabeth,

It seems that you have not added the API Key for the Google Map to the element, and that is why it shows the For Development Purpose Only. You can find the API Key here and add it to the respective section of the Map elements shown in the screenshot.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hi! I am not sure what you looked at but when I look at it on my end, the API key does in fact show up in that box highlighted above in your screenshot. Could I send private screenshots to show what I have set up in Google Developer?

Hi Elizabeth,

If you have already set the Google API Key, we need to check this through the Admin Dashboard. I would request you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hi Elizabeth,

I have checked the website again and found that you are using the X version 9.0.8 and the Cornerstone is also version i.e. 6.0.8. I would suggest you update the X by following the below steps.

  1. Delete the Cornerstone
  2. Update the X theme to the latest version on automatic updates
  3. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be at the latest version

After you update the X and the Cornerstone, please check once by clearing all type cache including the Style Cache from Cornerstone > Settings > System > Clear Style Cache and check in the incognito/private mode of the browser.

If that does not helps, there might be some different reasons behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.CSS/JS Customization
5.Disabling Cache
6.Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of the above helps, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access in the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Now I am having major issues.

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function cornerstone_register_static_style() in /srv/htdocs/wp-content/themes/x/framework/legacy/functions/frontend/styles.php:93

How do I fix this???

Hi Elizabeth,

It seems that you have not followed the steps for updating the X, and activated the updated X with an older version of Cornerstone. I went ahead and updated the Cornerstone by following the steps and now your site is working fine. Now coming to your actual issue Google Map, the browser is showing the issue You must enable Billing on the Google Cloud Project. I would suggest you go through the following article on this.

Hope it helps.
Thanks
