Google fonts not rendering on client side

Hi there,

I have a client that has a totally different view os the webpages I make using Google fonts.
On her side just machinefonts are loading with Chrome on PC and also on her iPad. I cannot seem to figure out what the problem is…

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanx!

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! What’s the specific font that you’re having this issue with ?

Here’s how it renders on my end.

Also make sure to clear browser cache before testing site.

Thanks!

Hi,
It’s PT Sans, included in Google fonts, which I chose in the customizer.
On my end the font looks fine also, but my client is going nuts because on her side a serif system font shows up.

I have also included the following CSS:
@import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=PT+Sans);
Which I don’t think is really needed, is it?

I have also tried a different host, but no luck on her end…

Are there any more things I could add or check or do to make the fonts show up correctly under any circumstance?
Or to put it differently: What is the most ‘Rock-Solid’ way to use the web-fonts presented in the Customizer.
(clearing cache is one of the first things I do, so I need a bit more ‘advanced’ tips and tricks I think)

Some insight into what may cause this problem, maybe even on the host or network side would also be helpful.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I have checked your site and the font seems to be displaying fine as well.

Have you tried asking your client to check the site with other browser as this seems to be an isolated issue on their end.
