Google font loading delay

Hey guys,

My headlines are in the Google font Baloo https://stikki.nyhemsida.info/foodtruck/. It doesn’t instantly show on a page load. There’s another font showing for half a second before Baloo loads. This makes especially the navigation look buggy, as items are moving during page load.

It looks OK when I use another font than Baloo but I want Baloo! Please advice,

I checked your given site URL it seems that the font is rendering fine on my end on the headline element. I have tested it on the Google Chrome browser version 122.0.6261.129.

If this issue persists please let us know.

Thanks, but you’re wrong, unfortunately. I captured the two different fonts here during page load and after. Navigation and titles in the text are all affected.

I just checked from another browser while not being logged in to WP to make sure. I have the same issue on Chrome, Firefox and Brave.

Hey @Lobsterass,

You need to address the font baloo ttf because it is showing 404 not found in the console log and I suspect that’s the reason of the inconsistency of the font loading.

YES! Thank you! Google seems to have changed the name of it to Baloo 2. Confusing! Anyway, I deleted my old Baloo setting and added it again and now it works!
