I’ve got to the bottom of it. It wasn’t the update. It was some google tag manager code added to the header. As soon as the code is added, it disables all google fonts on the front end.
Any idea why this might happen? We’ve added tag manager scripts to headers on many occasions without issue.
Hi @sarammog,
Thanks for reaching out.
There are a few common reasons why adding Google Tag Manager (GTM) code in the header can disable or block Google Fonts on the frontend. You will need to troubleshoot the GTM setup and also check the view-source to confirm whether the Google Fonts URL is still being loaded after adding the GTM code.
If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, I would recommend hiring a developer who can look into it for you. You can also consider our newly launched service, One TOTAL CARE, where we offer help with small customizations.
Thanks
