Google Analytics plugin issue

Hi,

I’m struggling to get GA working on my site and in addition I can’t get Google Console to verify it.
Is there still an issue with the plugin?

I’ve disabled my WP-DEBUG as I see this advice on the forum but still nothing…seems this bug has been around for a while.

Please advise.

Thanks for reaching out.

If you’re referring to our bundled GA plugin then please provide the site’s URL that has this issue. I like to verify if the code is properly outputted, but I can’t guarantee a fix for google console’s verification.

If it’s behind a coming soon page then please provide your login credentials in a secure note as well

Hi There,

Please remove all the scripts from the Meta Tag.

To verify your website, you should insert the meta tag like this:

<meta name="google-site-verification" content="String_we_ask_for">

Hi Thai,

I’ve removed the meta tags script completely and used the GA ID only and I can now verify purely using the GA verification.
