Google Analytics Plugin Fatal Error

Hi

I only have X theme plugins installed but I can’t activate them due to a fatal error. I have activated the main theme instead of the child theme but am still getting the same issue

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[’ in /home/hardeepsinghkohl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tco-google-analytics/tco-google-analytics.php on line 114

I’ve looked at the other support topics but can’t find an answer there. Please help!

Hey there,

I’m not sure why this is an issue in your site. Did you use the old analytics plugin previously? Please give us cPanel access.

have added the cpanel info to the secure note above. It’s a new site o never had an old plugin. Ive removed all other plugins and it still isn’t working.

Hi There,

Upon testing this issue further, I see that your current PHP version is v5.3.10. Could you please ask your web hosting provider to update it to at least PHP v5.6.x or later (the latest stable is v7.1.x), so that it will be fully compatible with X theme and plugins.
