Google Analytics event tracking

Hi,

I have added Google analytics to my X-Theme Wordpress site via a plugin called Head, Footer and Post Injections.

Analytics is able to track visitors. However I can`t get event tracking to work.

For example even if I add the following test Button to my site Analytics dosen`t track the event.

Thanks for writing in!

The code that’s shared in the ticket is not having closing tag. Please make sure on website that you have included closing tag. I would also suggest you to take a look at following tutorial to add Event tracking:

Hi,

Acutally I only forgot to copy it.

Nevertheless I followed the tutorial and while it showed the visitor in real time in my test the event didn`t show up.

Try adding target="_blank" to the link to see if the events being tracked as suggested here https://support.google.com/analytics/thread/3259118?hl=en if this doesn’t work then you can follow this thread https://stackoverflow.com/questions/36037748/google-analytics-event-tracking-not-working
