Google Analytics Disconnecting

We’re using the Google Analytics plugin that came bundled with the theme. For the past several months, we have had the UA code disappear and no data registering, this hasn’t been an issue until this year. We update the site monthly. The disconnect typically seems to happen in the middle of the month. Google said it’s not an issue on their end.

If disconnect is happening after specific period of time then probably it’s the issue with hosting provider. Please check if there’s some sort of cron job running.

As an alternative you can also use plugin like Insert Headers and Footers to add analytics code. Here’s the plugin link and tutorial that you can take a look.

We spoke with the hosting company. Here’s a copy of the transcript from the support chat-

I checked in cPanel -> Cron jobs and there are no cron jobs currently set
I am afraid that the website is up and running and there are no issues with the server and the hosting. The developers must give us an exact reason so that we can troubleshoot the problem on our end
Saying that this is hosting related is not enough unfortunately
Maybe the plugin itself or the theme is not compatible with the website

Hi there,

Please also check for the following:

#1 Check if you have an updated version of X, Cornerstone, and the plugins.
#2 If you have everything updated, kindly login through FTP and go to wp-content/plugins and delete the current google analytics directory that is in there. Then log back in to the admin area and install again the X Google Analytics plugin.
