Hi,
I’m new to the X theme and cornerstone. Without the global theme options it’s hard to get traction with my site’s redesign.
My theme option icon is displayed as an X within a circle. I have watched and read support manuals. I have updated and saved my X theme settings but still can’t access any global theme options.
I am using the latest theme licence and cornerstone in WP 5.7.
Any direction will be very appreciated!
Thanks,
Angela
Hi Angela,
Thanks for reaching out.
I have investigated your website and found that the X theme is updated to its latest version i.e 9.0.7 whereas the Cornerstone is still in version i.e. 5.3.3.
The issue you are having might be due to the incompatibility between X and Cornerstone. I would suggest you update the X theme by following the below steps.
- Delete the existing Cornerstone
- Update the X theme to the latest version by downloading from your Themeco Account or through the Automatic Update
- After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be at the latest version
After you update the X and *Cornerstone by following the above steps, please clear the Style Cache from X > Settings > System > Clear Style Cache and update.
If that does not help, I would suggest you check by deleting the section one by one till the issue is fixed, and the last one you have deleted before the fix is the actual issue. If that does not resolve the issue, there might be some different reason behind your reason, I would like to suggest troubleshoot the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.
1.Plugin Conflict
2.Theme Update related issue
3.CSS/JS Customization
4.Disabling Cache
5.Child Theme Related issue
