Global Blocks within Global Blocks (Tabs) Styling Issues

Hi there,

I am having an issue with Global Block within Global Blocks Styling.

Please see: https://www.loom.com/share/63e05801ebab4cc29b59a60d6e8dfcfc

Q1) Is this the best way in Pro to create my desired outcome? I.e. global blocks within global blocks.

Q2) Why is the parent blocks styling affecting the children block styling.

Kind regards.

Hey @kademcconville,

I tested the nested Tabs through the use of Global Blocks and it should work.

One of the elements inside a tab in one of the Global Blocks might be causing the issue. Regretfully, there are a lot of in the tabs and it would take some time to get into the cause of the issue.

With that said, please duplicate all your Global Blocks or better yet, start with simple Global Blocks filled with Tabs then add in an element at a time while checking the display each time you add an element. The element that you add that breaks the Tab display is the cause and you can report it to us.

Thanks.

Absolutely - it does work. It’s just styling them is this issue.

There’s no breaking of the tabs, they all work. I just can’t style them independently.

Thanks.

Hello @kademcconville,

I am trying to replicate your issue. I created 3 global blocks here:

I added each of the global block a title to distinguish which is which. This is the grand child:

This is the Child global block:

This is the Parent Global Block:

And finally, I created a page with a Tab element as well:

It seems that the styling of the child and grand child global blocks were missing. Only the main Tab or Parent global block styling were applied. I will post this to our issue tracker so that our developers will investigate this issue further. I cannot make any promises relating to a fix at this stage. I will add a note to the tracker referencing your report though so our dev team can see there are multiple reports of the issue.

Best Regards.
