Global Blocks SEO Value

Hello,

I generally use YOAST for ranking how well I’ve done my on page SEO.
That said, if i use content from global blocks, yoast can’t identify that any content exists.

My concern is that search engines will have the same problem.
Is this the case? or is it just a limitation of Yoast?

I’m using blocks to edit woocommerce product pages on multiple clients websites.
And now i’m worried that I may have made a bad choice SEO-wise.

Please advise.

Jesse

Helo Jesse,

Thanks for writing in!

Global block SEO do not have any impact in your SEO as long as you are not posting the same global block to another page because that would be a duplicate content already. Yoast SEO works in the backend to asses the page content. Even if Yoast SEO does not read the contents of the global block, the Google bots and search crawlers can.

Hope this helps.

OK good, I was worried there for a minute.
I’m only using global blocks to circumvent not being able to use the cornerstone and pro editors on WooCommerce product pages.
Each pages content uses a different block with alternate (non-duplicate) wording.
