Global blocks not workable

Although the Global Blocks I previously created are showing on the front-end fine, they are not editable. Also I cannot add a new Global Block. When I try I see enclosed message. I’m up-to-date on my theme, Cornerstone and PHP. What does it mean? Thanks for the help.

Hello @wjwcindy,

It seems that there might be an issue of plugin conflict. I would suggest you troubleshoot with a few of the common issues before we investigate your settings.

  1. Testing For Theme Related Issue
  2. Testing For Plugin Conflict
  3. Theme Update
  4. Child Theme
  5. Css/Js Customization
  6. Increasing Php Memory Limit
  7. Disabling Cache
  8. Disabling Cdn
  9. Permalinks
  10. Version Compatibility

If none of those work, It would be best if you could copying your live website to your staging area. and send your details in a secure note so that we can investigate your setting without breaking your live site. Please provide the following details

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password
  • FTP Details

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts

Thanks

Thanks, I did, so I will now share login info

Hello Cindy,

I have logged in and performed the plugin conflict test. It turns out that the All 404 Redirect to Homepage plugin is causing the issue. Please log in to your site and test the Global Block editor now.

Cheers.

Yes! that’s the culprit. It’s the one lone one besides Cornerstone I didn’t check. Thank you. Since our site went through a major downsizing after a few years, do you recommend anything else that does what All 404 Redirect to Homepage does?

Thank you again.

Hey Cindy,

Regretfully, we haven’t tested a plugin with such functionality so we could not recommend any. Please try out other plugins from the WordPress repository.

Thanks.
