I’m using Pro 4.1.1 and I just started using global blocks to consolidate some of the repeated elements across my product layouts. That being said, I noticed that when I started pulling global blocks into my layout (only two at this point), my fans started to really kick up on my laptop and my battery began to drain fast. I’m on a 2019 Macbook Pro 16" with an 8-core i9, 32gb of RAM, and a Radeon Pro 5500M with 8gb of vRAM— and it’s showing my CPU at over 130% when I’m editing a page with global blocks!! Is this a known issue that can be optimized or is it just something that is what it is? I did not notice such a performance spike before I started using global blocks.
Hi @bobbybosler,
I don’t think it was specific to Global Blocks but I did find somewhat of a leak where a message between the app and preview frame wasn’t getting fully resolved. Pro 4.1.2 will have a fix for this and I believe you’ll see this issue corrected.
Hi @bobbybosler,
No problem! The point release is now available. Give that a shot and you should see better performance in the builders.
