Global Blocks content can't be previewed

Hi there,

We’re having issues with accessing cornerstone editor on some of our pages.

We believe it’s a mixed content issue, as it was working fine up until certain links moved around.

When opening a global block to edit this Error Message appears:

The preview could not load. This is most often related to a plugin conflict or aggressive page cacheing. Checking the developer console for errors could indicate what went wrong.

Is there a way around this or to be able to bypass the cornerstone editor? What suggestions could you recommend for this issue to resolve?

We need to fix this asap.

P.S - we’ve added a login user into secure post. You can look into the home page too with it.

Here’s the issue:



I’ve seen this issue a lot where the Home page and draft page cannot be open in Cornerstone because something is blocking the preview. Do you have any security features on your site? If so, please try to deactivate it for a while and test Cornerstone again and see if that resolves the issue.

If not, please contact your hosting support and ask to deactivate the ModSecurity for awhile, then check your homepage in Cornerstone to see if that resolves the issue. If it does, since deactivating ModSecurity is not recommended, request to enable it back and unblock/whitelist only the https://iconinteriors.net.au/x/ url.

Yes we’re using Defender Pro. I’ll try and deactivate now.

Disabling ModSecurity fixes the bug but it is not recommended by our team.
Can you give me some instructions on how to whitelist https://iconinteriors.net.au/x/?

Yes, I said that above that it is not recommended, its only a test. Please contact your hosting support on how to whitelist that URI https://iconinteriors.net.au/x/ they are much better on this matter, and it is outside of the support that we can offer.
