Global Block appearing out of nowhere?

Hi!

I am probably just overseeing something simple, but I have a page that has NO footer, yet, at the bottom of the page, one of my global blocks appears.

I don’t see it in the page builder. It only shows on the front end. When I examine it from the browser console, it shows that it sits in a section, outside of the page content (see screenshot here https://i.imgur.com/DsP3tUQ.png)

I want to remove it, but … it’s not in the page, it’s not in the footer (there is none), it’s not in the bottom bar of the header, and it’s not in the off-page canvases…

What am I missing here?

Thanks for writing in!

I have checked your site and it seems that you added a column with a content area that contains a global block in it. If you are not using these columns, please remove it.

With regards to this problem,

I had a global block, inside another global block, which was placed inside off-canvas content, in a header bar.

I have now removed it, but it seems to me this single global appearing at the bottom of the page is a bug?

Hi Tristan,

Are you referring to the lock icon in the bottom? I don’t see anything from the bottom other than that lock and the chat icon.

But that lock icon is also part of your header, would you mind providing a screenshot of what we should see?

Can no longer provide screenshot, as I reworked the page around this issue, sorry.

The lock that you see at the bottom, now is a regular button that links to another page. But previously, it was a toggle for off-canvas content. And in that off-canvas was a global block that contained the global block that appeared everywhere.

Sorry but we can not see the content of the page you provided above, and the credentials you provided do not work. Please check.

In the meantime, base on your first post, that sounds like you added a function to put a certain Global Block on that specific page. To test this, please switch to the parent PRO theme and see if that Global Block is gone, if it is then you know there is a function on your child theme that hook that Global Block to your page.
