Glitch with link to email button / icon when I put Subject the spaces disappear

Hello,
I think there is a small bug / glitch when the Subject is put in the email link or button for the mailto: email. When I write the subject and save the page all the spaces disappear. I’ve seen it’s a known issue for a few months. Do you know when this is planned to be fixed?

Hi Gabriela,

Thanks for reaching out.

May I know where this issue happen? If you’re referring to the sharing feature then the spaces are converetd to %20 which then converted back to space when it reached the email app. That’s how URL encoding works and should stay that way, but if you’re referring to actual missing spaces then please provide a sampel URL where we can see this issue.

No, it’s not about %20.

This is the link where you can check what is happening:

In the header above you will see the mail icon and this is where the problem occurs. When you click on it, the email will pop up but the Subject will be without spaces.

As a comparison, this works well with social icons and buttons in the main body. I also included them with a similar Subject and it works fine.

So it seems the problem is only in the header.

I have read in a different post in the forum that you offer a temporary fix: add   as space.
So my question is when this is going to be fixed permanently.
