Giving Front Page a Folder

We’re unable to set a folder for our front page. We’d like https://example.com/home to take users to https://example.com but currently that gives an error. What’s the best way to set that up in X Theme?

Thanks for writing in! Is your site http://example.com ? Did you created a page for your homepage and yet the url is http://example.com/home ? And you want this page to be displayed as your homepage? To resolve your issue, please go to Settings > Reading > Front Page Displays and select “Home” as your Front Page. Yes, http://example.com is currently set to homepage but we would also like http://example.com/home to work as well.

Hi there,

That is not what you can achieve with WordPress, you need to contact your hosting service provider and ask them to help you create a redirect rule for that.

Usually, the hosting service providers provide a panel which gives the ability to redirect URLs, you will need to redirect the example.com/home to example.com, so whenever visitor reaches the home/ it will be redirected to the main domain instantly.
