Getting Yoast SEO error: Sitemap Error: XML or text declaration not at start of entity

Hello,

We hosts a blog for a client and we use the Yoast SEO plugin. However we are getting an error related to this topic: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/xml-sitemap-error/

We have checked the functions.php file for the child theme and think a plugin isn’t causing extra whitespace after testing those. Could be there an issue within the X theme causing the extra whitespace?

Update: 7/12/17

It appears the sitemap issue has resolved itself. Not totally sure how or why. But I no longer need support for this issue.
