Getting woocommerce total cart items with jQuery

Simple, the question is:
Is it possible to get the total number of items that are in the cart with jQuery?

Thanks for writing in! Basically your request is outside the scope of our support as it would need custom development.

Just to give you an idea, cart information will be saved inside server side using PHP session. There could be ways to access it using jQuery, which you will have to research it a bit.
