Getting Photo to Fill Left Column

I asked this question a while back, but unfortunately didn’t get the answer I was looking for. Here is the link to the initial question for reference.

The initial instructions were to add a section and back the background of that section a photo, left one of the columns blank and add my text to the other one. While this works, it requires a photo that is very wide and when scaling to smaller devices, it changes the format of the photo so it is almost impossible to find a photo that works.

I was curious if there was a way to add a background to just one side of a column and have it fill the entire half of the section, similar to the “Meet Tony” I references in the link above.

Thanks for writing in!

In the previous thread, I gave your these steps:

1.) Insert the background image in the section settings.

2.) Create two columns and leave the left column empty.

3.) Please your text contents in the right column.

To make sure that the background image will just cover 50% of the section, you will need to set the size to 50% in the background size option and align it to the left.
