Getting logged out from the Header Editor in Pro

I’ve got a site hosted under GoDaddy’s managed Wordpress hosting that I just started building; Had a weird issue after creating all the main pages for the site… I went to the Header editor, opened my header to switch it from the sample menu to the live menu, and it would error out with the frontend error; if I navigated over to an element to edit it before it errored out, a login dialog would pop up saying my session timed out. If I log back in, I get an Error 429.

Here’s the interesting thing: The fix seems to be switching the site to the default ?12355 page naming convention, rather than URL rewrite directories.

Obviously, I don’t want to leave it with that, so I need to isolate the issue. GoDaddy says to check in with you guys and get more details, or a resolution.

Set it as Secure Note

  • Link to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • FTP credentials

Thanks for providing the information. It seems that there is a JS error on the page.You can see it in my screenshot: http://prntscr.com/g0u5q0. This could be caused by a 3rd party plugin. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Well, I figured the most likely culprit was Yoast SEO or the GoDaddy plugin, since the others are part of the approved list of X plugins. Deactivated it, and no issues. Reactivated it, and… No issues. Could it have possibly been an issue with the sample menu? Anyway, its fixed, so no worries.
