Hi,
I’m on X 7.1.2 and am getting a JSON error in Woo Commerce at checkout. The order is still taken, but the error stops an email notification.
This is the error reported after I click on submit payment:
SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 3 column 1 of the JSON data
I’ve seen someone else ran into a similar issue involving source mapping, but I haven’t found a way to fix this.

Hi Jim,
There is no known issue on our tracker similar to this one. Can you do basic troubleshooting first? You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
If the issue persists, please also make sure you are using a compatible version of the plugin.
In case all of those are good, please copy your site over a staging. Provide credentials inside a secure note so we can test the issue. Thank you.
