Getting hacked - Scanning with Wordfence

Hi there,

My wordpress sites are unfortunately getting hacked weekly, since I have been unable to find the faulty plugin so far.
Thing is, I have installed WordFence Security, and it helps me a great deal with my cleaning activities. However, as I am aware, it is incompatible with Cornerstone. Is there a way to work around this?

It does automatic scans, but having cornerstone turned on it always crashes. Turning off cornerstone instead results in breaking the sites formatting, which is awful for my clients. A workaround, or perhaps another plugin that can scan for free would be welcome as well.

There are many free plugins out there which can scan your site one of them would be: https://wordpress.org/plugins/gotmls/

Still the best protection is not having any compromise at all so it’s essential to find the root cause of your compromise. If it’s a plugin we recommend deactivating it immediately, there are also other things that can cause this like using weak passwords or having old outdated copies of your hosting software. Server security is a topic where your hosting provider should be able to help you properly so reaching out to them is not a bad idea.
