Getting constant emails about Failed Update for MEC

I’ve been getting basically daily emails that MEC has failed to update

Why doesn’t MEC work with auto-update enabled and what can I do to stop receiving these daily failed to update emails?

Why doesn’t auto-updates work on MEC?

MEC doesn’t even allow me to manually update it, so I really don’t know what do to at this point to keep it current.

I’ve gotten this email 6 times today alone now. It’s getting annoying.

Hi John,

Thanks for reaching out.
The Modern Event Calendar is a bundled plugin and can’t be Auto Update. I would suggest you disable the Auto Update for the bundled plugin as the plugins are updated with the Theme Updates.
