Get To Cornerstone From Preview Page

Hi,

Am I missing how to get directly to Cornerstone to edit a page I am viewing on the front-end? Or is just not available. I only see “customize” in the admin bar, but that doesn’t take me to the Cornerstone editor to change the page.

Right now I have to make the extra step of going into the Wordpress editor, then clicking to edit in Cornerstone. It would save time (and make sense) to have the ability to jump directly into CS from the front-end of the page.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Please kindly make a backup of your website and update the theme to version 5.2.3 and Cornerstone to version 2.1.4. Then go to X > Launch > Content and you will see a list of pages which you can edit using the Cornerstone.

Thank you.

Thanks for the tip. That’s great if am already in CS and want to edit a different page/post. But if I’m not, it actually takes more steps than what I mentioned in my original post.

The suggested method takes 5 steps to get to the page I want to edit. With the way I have been doing it, assuming I’m on the front-end version of the page, it’s only two steps. Load times make both inefficient.

It’s not a must-have, but it would make workflow much more efficient in those situations…

Hello There,

Thanks for updating in! If you are seeing the “Customize” button in the admin bar, you should also be seeing the “X” button. There is a dropdown where you can click on it and edit Page right in Cornerstone right away.

Hope this helps.

Awesome! Exactly what I was looking for. I glossed right over it. In my mind I guess I went straight to it being an “X” to close and didn’t think twice.

Glad to see we managed to help.

To me the pages content are blank and when I want to edit a cornerstone page (create before the update) it tell me that there isn’t a language (my site are Italian/English) and stuck. No action.

Edit: deactivate polylang and now work!
Now? How I can translate all site pages???

Hi,

This is a known issue with polylang. We’ve not made any changes in regard to Polylang. We officially integrate with WPML, so that’s taken priority. We don’t have an ETA on when things will work with Polylang but we are investigating what’s possible from our end. Thanks
