Get a background image/video for a section to stick

Hello, how to achieve a background image or video to be fixed. So that the scrolling is only to the content in front of it.

Please help, I’ve been reading and trying for 2 evenings but I cannot find it and it should be easy doesn’t it?

Hey Jeroen,

Enable the Parallax option of the Image/Video Background option. Increase the Parallax Size option for more drastic effect. Just note that you should have enough video resolution so that the video or image would not be blurry.

If the Parallax feature is not what you need or you don’t want the effect, you need to custom code your own parallax effect. Regretfully, that would go beyond the scope of our theme support to offer.

hello, parallax is not what I need. I understand how that works. What is need is that all the content that I make scrolls but the background image stays in the samen place and that is the background of the page.

Back in the day that I made websites in html you could give it a fixed css style but now I don’t know how to apply this style to the background of a section.

Thanks for clarifying. We do have a page image background feature. We don’t have page video background though. For more details about the page image background, see https://youtu.be/LJjEPflXB6Q. You just need to set your sections’ background to transparent.
