Function.php issue 500

Hi there,

I’m a novice in all webcode languages and I have an issue editing “Read me” tag. I tried to add this code :
<?php the_content("Keep reading this post"); ?>

And then, error 500, even after deleting the code it’s impossible to refresh the code or whatever.
Thank’s a lot for your help. It’s the first time I have to !

Thanks for writing in!

We’d need some more context to try and understand what you’re doing here, and where the code is being placed. For example are you editing the core theme files? If so, you shouldn’t be and should use a child theme, that ensures nothing is overwritten on an update.
