Fullwidth image section

I am trying to insert an image as a section but it either cuts off, or constrains the size of the image into a column. I can provide an example and credentials in a secure reply. I’ve looked through the forum and through the documentation and can’t find an example that shows what I am trying to do.

Hello @moneydeezy,

Thanks for posting in! Regretfully we cannot check your homepage layout because the given credentials do not work for us. It seems the password is incorrect.

Meanwhile, please do check our our Background Image tutorial which will help you achieve like what is in the example URL. You can check it our our Youtube channel

Hope this helps.

thank you Ruenel. I will give a go with that tutorial first. If I don’t have any luck I will reply back in.

You’re welcome!
We’re glad we were able to help you out.

Hey Ruenel, I took a look at the resource you provided. It doesn’t explain why the section would cut the background short. I can’t get it to go fullscreen, like the example I provided in the secure chat. I did update the admin credentials. I am using cornerstone on the Home - front page. The section is called, “intro”. I’m sure I am doing something wrong.

Hello @moneydeezy,

The section where you set the background image’s height is just dependent on the padding top and bottom set to the section since the section contains nothing - thus it does not have a specified height. Setting a background to sections does not set the background images’s height to the sections since those images will just be used as a background and not a section content.

If you don’t aim to add a content to the section, a way to add height to the section is to either add a gap element to the section and set the gap’s height to 1080px or edit the section padding setting and set either the top or bottom padding to 1080px.

Hope this explains it.
