Full width backgrounds or responsive page breaks

I have been working on making things look better and I have my settings to full width instead of boxed. However it does not stretch in a responsive way. as an example this website is has many sections that are responsive.

I know the content should remain in the center I am just wondering if I have make it more styish with responsive fullwith section area backgrounds etc.
