Frustration E&P Form Issues Lagging and Refresh After Amended

Greetings Themeco Team,

I’ve been using E&P Form for quite sometime… and its has been great and good Premium Form. Lately… i.ve been frustrated with the performance, and I knew, I’ve been installed LiteSpeed Cache plugins and yes it does affect the immediate change of whatever may I change inside E&P Forms.

So, I deactivated or even i just uninstalled the LiteSpeed Cache, i even clear entirely my history of my browser, run in incognito mode and it work! but sometime it doesn’t work much… sometime it went crazy and so on. I worked a lot in a Designer to custom the form according to client needs and designs.

Maybe also a hosting from the client i have, also may have the contribute the factor of not much responsive of E&P forms…may need to flush the cache from the hosting (i may have not the access to their hosting) again… its nuisance.

Is their any tips… ? anyway before this… amending in a Designer mode is almost instant change. What happen to the E&P forms now? its seems getting not good?

Hope to hear from you guys soon and give a thoughts…

Sincerely
Ady Evans

Hi Ady,

Thank you for writing in, please do the following:

  • Ensure that you are fully up to date. WordPress, Theme, and Cornerstone (Version Compatibility)

  • Clear all the site caches (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. While you’re at it, please deactivate this caching feature while we tackle this issue.

  • Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  • Remove custom Javascript and custom templates (if any).

  • Reset your .htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

  • Contact your hosting provider to increase your allocated memory limit or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php file.

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

You can add it before the line:

That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging.

After doing all this and the issue still persists, please clarify the issue and provide us the site URL and credentials in a Secure Note so we can take a closer look.

Have a great day,
Cheers!

Great tips for me to run through this… I will try this weekend. Tq so much Friech.

Glad to hear that, @designpoto

Hi there Friech

  • Ensure that you are fully up to date. WordPress, Theme, and Cornerstone ([Version Compatibility]
    (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195)) - Done

  • Clear all the site caches ( plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache ) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. While you’re at it, please deactivate this caching feature while we tackle this issue. - Done purge mannually

  • Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time. - Switch off all except E&P Form

  • I see that you have a license for Cornerstone, so I assume you’re using a 3rd party theme. Try switching to a default Wordpress theme ( twenty seventeen ), and see if the issue resolves. If it is then you’ll know it is not compatible with your theme. - I am using Xpro

  • Remove custom Javascript and custom templates ( if any ). - Fresh and new… no javascript involve

  • Reset your .htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button. - Done

  • Contact your hosting provider to increase your allocated memory limit or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php file. Done… max memory 1024M

I am using Hostinger, i even switch off the Cache Manager and purge manually.

The Form Designer doesnt work at all when we change anything in there.

Hope to hear from u soon

Hi Ady,

Thank you for the credentials but it’s not working, please check.

All those tests above are for the WordPress side of things, but since none of those resolves the issue. It could possibly the issue is something specific on your end, could be something on your local machine or local network. Or it could be something on your server configurations.

Another thing, try reinstalling E&P Form plugin, PRO theme, and possibly WordPress itself. WordPress has a native reinstalling feature under Dashboard > Update.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Sorry my bad… the password with Capital T

Hi Ady,

I have checked your website and found the E&P Form is working and can submit the form it usually does. Can you please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that helps us to recognize the problem?

Thanks

Hi there Tristup,

Its not about the form can submit or not… Sorry for not being specific, its a Form Designer… whenever wanna change inside Form Designer… and we want to apply… its seems not save at ll.

Ady

Hi Ady,

I have checked the Form Designer by modifying the background color of an element. I applied the changes and saved it, but it only appears once the cache has been cleared. I would suggest you clear the cache every time you modify the form using Form Designer.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hi there Tristup…

yeah i did this before… but its kinda annoying of this… clearing up for every changes in a Form Designer. Is it because the hosting like Hostinger acting up like this?

Weirdly… it isnt like this before… why E&P Forms like this now?

Ady

Hi Ady,

That is more likely a caching-related issue, please clear all your caching features and run something like WP-Optimize plugin to make sure everything is clean.

Thanks,
