Fresh copy of x-theme just installed, Cornerstone won't launch, 404 error

Hello,

I just bought a fresh copy of X Theme a few minutes ago. I uploaded it to a brand new wordpress site.

After getting everything validated, there was a cornerstone launch option (as if it had already been installed). But when I go to launch cornerstone to make a home page, it doesn’t launch. Just a 404 error.

How do I resolve that? I should note this is a brand new ‘add-on’ site to my blue host account. This add on site is understandingvalueinvesting.com and the main blue host site is camphikelivecalifornia.com

Thanks,
Andrew Feazelle

…also I tried deleting the Cornerstone Plug-in. This then prompted X-Theme to ask me to reinstall it. I reinstalled it, but still am getting a 404 error:

The requested URL was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Hey Andrew,

Thanks for writing in! You might not have set your Pretty Permalinks. Please go to Settings > Permalinks and choose any of the choices except the default one which is “Plain”.

Best Regards.

Okay cool. It looks like it was defaulted to post name, but I went in and re-saved it and that seemed to do the trick, as I’m finally able to access the page builder in CS.

It’s been a while since I’ve made a site from scratch, I forgot to check out the permalinks. That could have been rough later down the road!

Thanks!

Andrew Fez
