Formatting issue with Essential Grid

Hi, Hope you can help me with this. The formatting (font, alignment) of some posts on this page, made using Essential Grid, is going haywire and I can’t figure out why. (Note the top two posts.)

I’ve inspected the CSS, deleted all CSS coding, changed to the X from Child, etc. I found that when I duplicate a post, there’s no problem, but when I create new ones, there is. The page is:

This is obviously a staging site, so you’re welcome to experiment as you like. I’ll send the login info in a separate message.

X theme: 9.1.2
Cornerstone: 6.1.2
Wordpress: 5.8.1

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello @Hudsonpilot,

Thanks for writing in! I have logged in and duplicated a post. I could not replicate the issue. This is what I am seeing:

Can you please clarify a little further by sending us a screenshot of the issue that you are experiencing?

Best Regards.

Thanks for looking into this. The posts on this page are supposed to look like the one on the right, not the left.

The problem is illustrated on this page from the actual site (not staging). Note the post for “Passing.”

Thanks again.

I’ve narrowed the problem down. If the post contains a link (a href), the formatting is right; if I remove the link, the formatting goes off (and seems to use the Essential Grid skin format rather than the CSS). The issue has to do with how I’ve done the CSS for .eg-full-post-element-36 and .eg-full-post-element-36-a.

Hello @Hudsonpilot,

You should have the same code for both .eg-full-post-element-36 and .eg-full-post-element-36-a elements. Be advised that custom coding is beyond the scope of our support. We are unable to provide support for customizations under our Support Policy. If you are unfamiliar with code and resolving potential conflicts, you may select our One service for further assistance.

Please note that custom coding is outside the scope of our support. Issues that might arise from the use of custom code and further enhancements should be directed to a third-party developer.

Thank you for your understanding.
