Formatting issue with content area dropdown

Hi,
I’ve added a content area dropdown but it seems to have re-formatted my entire website as 1 or 2 columns and removed styles and sizing. It looks fine on Firefox, but not on Chrome (mac or pc).

Should look like this:

Any reason why this could happen?

Hey Tarun,

I suspect there’s broken HTML within your content. Please check your content. You can use a tool like this to test your HTML.

There are also other factors that could cause that so please also check for the following.

  1. Testing For Plugin Conflict
  2. Theme Update
  3. Child Theme
  4. Css/Js Customization

Only if none of that helps, please give us the following info in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thanks.

Hi Tarun,

This is just a cache issue because when I clear the style cache in the X > Settings and system tab, the content is now looking fine. On the other hand, the under construction page which is your current homepage is just working fine.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Thanks so much for looking into this Marc. I basically created a new page and cloned the original home page and it seemed to work just fine. Now my only issue is that on some web browsers (Chrome, Safari and Edge), the right sidebar shows up, even though I selected ‘Blank - no container, header, no footer’ on the Wordpress and Cornerstone back-end. But on Firefox it seems to work just fine. Any reason why this could be? I cleared my X > Settings Style cache.

Hi Tarun,

I have checked the page shown in your screenshot and didn’t find the sidebar as mentioned. This might be due to the cache, I would suggest you check once by clearing all types of cache and in incognito/private mode of the browser.

Hope it helps.
Thanks
