Formatting Dynamic Content

We recently updated to X-pro and are working on a full makeover of our website. While creating woocommerce interface pages with the layout editor several issues came up. Quite a simple one is formatting dynamic content fields. For date fields I discovered that the Wordpress formatting works, but how can we format numeric fields like in the image below?

The decimals should be maximized to 2 positions and the decimal indicator should be a comma as specified within the woocommerce settings. I’m missing the formatting details in your docs? Or am I just overlooking them?

Hi Ruud,

Thanks for reaching out.
Regretfully, there is no such option for formatting the WooCommerce price in dynamic content. I will make a feature request so it might be taken into account in the future and should follow the similar settings made in WooCommerce.

Thanks

Hello @tristup

Thanks for your reply.

Although the update to Pro 4 brings huge improvements, thank you all for that, especially Woo implementation is not quite there yet so it seems. I have been experimenting with several Woo “basic features” which don’t seem to be supported (yet? I hope…)

For instance:

  1. From the product table view (WC Archive) the product amount seems missing, only one product can be added at the time.
  2. We use a product badge plugin which does show automatically at the product level, but I cannot find any dynamic content to add it to the table view.
  3. Product variations and swatches don’t seem to be supported at all.
  4. Product attributes also seem to be missing.
  5. Dynamic filtering does not seem possible in a table view.

The above is what I noticed so far. As already stated, there are many improvements but the lack of the above puts my Store part development on hold for now… Hopefully, you can put these items also on the feature request list and providing them in future updates a.s.a.p.

Thanks, Ruud

I’m also having issues with dynamic content. I’m making a blog post template and it doesn’t seem to be a way to do formatting of the text in the “The content” part. Other parts like “The title” and “The excerpt” I can do some formatting on to match the design of my website regarding font, size, color etc.

Hello Ruud,

Thanks for the feedback. Have you checked the different WooCommerce dynamic elements? Please create a custom WC archive layout and you’ll find a long list of product-specific dynamic elements.

Hey @markusp80:
At this time we kindly ask that you open up your blog post template in a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off-topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions. Keeping threads relevant to their original inquiry ensures that we can keep better track of what has been resolved and that users can more effectively find answers to similar issues they might be experiencing.

Cheers.
