Form fields & button not working on mobile (Ultimate Member)

Hello!

I’m at a loss for where to get support for this, as it seems to be an interaction between Pro and Ultimate Member. Hopefully you can point me in the right direction!

This form works perfectly on desktop, but on mobile the text input fields and “register” button are very hard to click.
The register button is the biggest problem. It almost seems like the text is blocking the button’s clickable area, as it works when I click on the very edge of the button outside of the text.

This website uses Pro and Ultimate Member. All plugins are updated.

I copied my site to staging and deactivated all plugins except Ultimate Member. The problem persisted until I switched my site to a different theme (Wordpress’ 2019).

Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @Hjfinch,

This is a conflict between the plugin in question and our theme and it is outside of our support scope. I will do my best to check the case and give you a snippet if possible but there is no guarantee and if it is not possible you will need to use another plugin.

I checked the case with my iPhone XR and I could not recreate the problem. I could hit the Register button with no problem. But the screen of my iPhone is big and the register button was next to login and it was not stacked.

Please check the case with other mobile phones and check what is the exact screen width that the problem happens. Also check if it happens if you click the register button for the first time, or after there is an error message.

Thank you.

Hello @christopher.amirian! Thanks for trying to help!

We’ve been testing primarily on iPhone 7s in the vertical orientation.

It seems to work better using safari as the browser (the register button is easier to click).
The problem is most persistent when using Chrome.

The problem does happen when I click register for the first time, as well as when there is an error message first.

Any insight or advice is helpful, but I also understand completely that this is outside of your normal support area.

Thanks again!

@christopher.amirian - good news! I have it pretty much resolved.

Updating the page layout to the newest Pro layout tool helped. The problem still happens for users on small phones (iPhone 7 vertical) using Firefox as their browser. But, even they can get the register button to work if they click on the edge. For now, that’s good enough.

Thanks again for the help!

Hi Hjfinch,
