Force LTR for X admin dashboard and cornerstone

Hi,

I have a Hebrew Wordpress site (RTL - right-to-left) and a plugin called “Admin in English” which forces the wp-admin to act as if the admin console is in English (LTR).

Everything works except the X theme dashboard and cornerstone plugins which ignore these settings and still show elements as if the site is RTL.

Is there a way to force the admin elements of X theme and cornerstone to LTR (left-to-right)?

Regards,
Roman.

Hi @romanlif,

Thanks for writing in.

The theme only follows the direction provided by Wordpress. This could be specific to the plugin you’re using and we can’t confirm it since it’s a 3rd party plugin. I recommend checking other plugins that will allow you switching to both RTL or LTR layout.

Maybe your plugin only changes the specific setting but doesn’t actually apply the language directions.

Thanks!

I will test additional plugins and see how it goes, thanks.

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers!

Hi,

I did some testing.

Pro URL is working outside of the scope of wp-admin:
http:///pro/#/ and not http:///wp-admin/pro/#/
And because of that my plugins can’t switch the interface to LTR.

I think it’s a must-feature to have Pro admin console working correctly with multi-langue WordPress installations.

Can you suggest an alternative solution or maybe submit this as a feature request for future releases?

Regards,
Roman

Hi @romanlif,

It shouldn’t be used like that, there is no /wp-admin/pro/#/ . And it’s the plugin responsibility to supply and switch the layout direction and even localization. The theme and the builder only work to what’s provided by Wordpress system.

And Pro, X, Cornerstone are working on multiple languages. As you said, you’re using a plugin called Admin in English which only switches the layout of admin, so it’s not related to translation or localization. It only switches the layout and changes it to English, but still, the default language is Hebrew and there are no translations either. It’s the behavior of the plugin you’re using, try a fully working translation plugin instead.

Thanks!
