Sometime in the last month or two my header and footer disappeared from the Header/Footer Builders. I’m assuming this happened after the update to the new template assignment rules feature. When I go to Header Builder or Footer Builder, I am served with the message “No Footers Found”, even though my footer and header are both clearly functioning on the frontend of the website. There seems to be no way to restore these lost footers so that they can be edited in the builders.
Luckily I saved them as templates a while ago, so I do have a way of restoring them. I have successfully restored my footer, as an editable footer in the builder, on my staging site, by adding a new footer (in the builder) and then applying my saved template. But before I replicate this process on my production site, I wanted to make sure there isn’t a better/proper way to do this. Has this happened to anyone else?
Please let me know if there is a recommended method for restoring the edit-ability of lost headers/footers. Thank you.
