Footer Menu: Page Search Issue

We created a page and would like to assign it to a specific footer. We have done this many times but for some reason, this page does show up when we do a search for it in the footer sidebar. The page is live built with Pro and set to show footers. Is there anything that would cause the page not to display in the footer search sidebar?

Thank you!

Hi @mjsammut,

Thanks for reaching out.
There might a few different reasons behind this issue, the most common one is the broken HTML in any section of the page. I would also suggest, if you find this type of issue, you can troubleshoot by deleting the elements one by one till the issue resolves. The last element that resolves the issue contains the broken HTML.

Please also check if the footer has any broken HTML too, also check that the specific footer has assigned to the specific page you are having the issue.

If you are still not able to find the reason, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– Exact Page URL where you are having this issue
– WordPress Admin username/password

Thank you. Things look good on this end. I sent you over a secure note.

Hi @mjsammut,

It seems the page is loaded with the Global Footer while checking a copy of the footer has been created for testing purposes and worked while added as Global Footer.

Please let me know if you are trying to point out something else.

NOTE: I found a huge list of page in the Footer assigning section and not able to find the exact page which you mentioned. So I tested the Footer by making it Global.

Thanks

Thank you, yes, that is the core of the issue, the page we created is not showing in the Footer assigning section.

Hi @mjsammut,

The problem is due to the long and similar kind of page titles, and it is hard to recognize that while assigning the footer. What I can suggest you trash all the pages except the specific one and set the footer, and then, restore all the pages.

Hope that helps.
Thanks

I hear you! OK!! Trashing is not really an option, but I assume this is to fix the page confusion? Would going through the system and renaming pages help?

Hi @mjsammut,

Trashing is just a temporary workaround. Renaming the page will be the best possible solution for this confusion.

Thanks

Thank you!
