Footer-like widget area

Hello,

I’ve created a footer using my own code in the customiser. I now want to create another footer above it using the widget area. I simply want to recreate the footer that you can see on the demo website with the menu and the social icons. Is there a shortcode or something else that I can use easily in order to create it?

Hi Antoine,

Thanks for writing in! This will require some customizations which is outside the scope of our support. However, I can just give you an overall idea on how to implement it. First you need to activate Footer Widget area with one column by head over to X- > Theme Options -> Footer area.

Then try following this example (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/footer-menu-customisation/51524/2?u=mldarshana) and it should help you to implement a horizontal menu. Please note that, it’s only an example so we do not provide support for further customization related requests.

You can also find a similar plugin for social media icons or you can add your icons using HTML into a Text widget area.

Thanks for the explanation. I thought there would be a shortcode or an easy way to replicate the footer that you see on the demo. It’s not worth installing a plugin just to do this, as I could simply create it manually :slight_smile:
