My footer is not showing up despite adding widgets to any of the areas.

Thanks for writing in!
I have checked your site and it seems that the footer widget areas are disabled. Please go to X > Theme Options > Footer and make sure that you have set at least One footer widget areas.
You can enable up to four widget areas if you want to have four column widgets in your footer.
