Sorry for the topic being similar to a couple other Forum posts, but we’re seeing footers disappear from sites that had been working for months.
One site was in development and we duplicated a footer to test an alternate version and while saving the footers, they became blank. We’ve had to re-create a one footer today already. We will review the suggestions (upgrade to latest Pro, turn off plugins to test) and try to avoid saving the footers, potentially wiping them out. Our fear with turning off plugins is the next save - will it require a rebuild or not?

It was known conflict between 5.1 and Pro 2.5.0 which later fixed and patched on 2.5.1. If your footer or header contains links with the target, the data will then be corrupted once saved. It only affects the header and footer once saved if you’re still on 2.5.0 and the only solution is updating it and re-build them.
I assume it was 2.5.0 on your installation? And since you already rebuild it, then I think you already fixed it by updating it. Please let us know if you’re still getting this issue.
